Promotion of System of Rice Intensification (SRI) in Rainfed Aera of Banda District: Progress Report Year 2012
SRI is climate-smart, agro-ecological methodology for increasing the productivity of rice and more recently other crops by changing the management of plants, soil, water and nutrients. It is based on the cropping principles of significantly reducing plant population, improving soil conditions and irrigation methods for root and plant development, and improving plant establishment methods.
